The Fire Nation capital was quite a busy place. Meifeng spent most of her time here awaiting orders from his highness. It was boring to her, as she couldn't murder anybody in the country due to her oath. Well, that's if they found out about the murder. It was a shame that the only thing she considered fun was activities like murder and torture. The money she received from the king went straight to more weapons that could be used to carry out her heinous acts. Other than that, money really didn't mean too much to her.
She was walking through the streets aimlessly, waiting for some official to come get her and tell her what to do. While doing this, she was practicing her airbending by making the winds directly around her stop and cease to exist. She was becoming more and more bored by the second.

"Where fears & lies melt away . . ."
A harmonic tune of bliss originating from a repetative motion that consisted of a shuffle in movement, guided by a set of feet led the young Airbender into the assiduous streets of the Fire Nation Capital. An inaudible whistle, cheerful in its deliverence transpired from lips that seemed to bare a permanent smile of sheer merriment. The city that knowingly belonged to the Fire Lords, attained a simplistic elegancy that created sentiments of astonishment to the girl whom stared in awe at its brilliance. This in specific, the awe-aspiring province of the firebenders is what ignited Mingyu's interest to travel lands that resided outside of her home. Curious by nature, the Airbender yearned to discover and articulate the manufactures of the world and its entirety. An inner desire to seek out and understand the cultures of the other three nations and her everlasting faith to find the Monk that aided in her well being, all played significance to Mingyu's adventurous persona.
"The capital is really an amazing site, isn't it Mama?" The inquiry was directed towards a being whose embodiment was cremated and carefully thrown into the rampant breeze. As she spoke them, her hands held onto a seemingly worn out locket whom wrapped loosely around her neck. The presences of a delicate breeze, sliced through her internal thoughts; steering her into the vicinity of a bystander. A girl who entangled herself in the essence of the wind, wielded the element so that it would wrap around her physique and than suddenly disperse of it as if it was nothing but a bothersome child. Immediately, Mingyu was aware that the girl just inches away from where she stood was bender of her own kind. In an attempt to consonlidate a new friendship, Mingyu cooed into the invisible wind and directed it towards the girl. The air softly traveled to its destination, voluntarily teasing strands of insipid locks.

A sudden gust of wind broke through the black dressed girl's nullified area. That was impossible; unless if another airbender was for some reason around. That could in fact be the case. "Interesting." The nineteen year old said in response to the gust of wind. "So you're an airbender. You figured me out pretty quickly." She white haired girl said, not looking at anybody in particular. She didn't exactly catch what direction the gust came from, so she didn't know who the airbender was.
Being cautious, Meifeng placed her hand over one of the empty sword hilts around her waist. It could be somebody who wanted to kill her, which was a strong possibility with her status. It would be a horrible place for a fight in this large crowd of people, so the girl wasn't exactly eager to jump into combat with whoever this mysterious bender was. "Reveal yourself."

"Where Fears & Lies Melt Away"
The force of the wind was graceful in its passing yet fierce in its landing. Patrons who stood in the vicinity were blessed by its essence; basking in the ambiance by playfully dancing in its elegancy. A sweet smile formed through hushed lips, developing from the civilians who enjoyed the ghostly draft's attendence. Mingyu found a great deal of pleasure bestowing happiness upon others. It might have been selfish of her; no expectation for a reward as the reward came from the sole core of the girl's contentment.
Jubilancy centered all throughout the atmosphere as everyone seemed to enjoyed Mingyu's manipulation of the breeze, everyone except the girl who it was meant for. A skeptical composure followed by a small demand was all it took to assure the girl that the bender had not grown fond to her sprightly actions. Hesistancy placed down on the hilt of a sword, ready to strike if neccassary brung a apprehensive Mingyu to a standstill. Raising her hands to shoulder length, the girl frantically waved them around in an attempt to rid all doubt and suspicion that arose from Mingyu's impulsive behavior. "N-no-no I'm not l-looking for a fight. I-I just t-thought that you w-w-ould have enjoyed a little c-company from a f-fellow Airbender." Her words were like the wind itself, it was often felt but it was too fast for it to be heard and adding her own speech impairment, it was even more difficult to understand.

It appeared that the airbending's source was that of a small and rather innocent girl. Meifeng took her hand off the sword hilt and took a deep breath. She then returned the earlier gust of wind in a friendly manner, trying to send a sign to the girl that she wasn't going to hurt her. "I'm not the one to be seeking company from." The white haired girl said coldly after sending the friendly gust of wind. "We both may be airbenders, but, but I'm not like you." She didn't want to flat out say that she used her air bending for violence and not defense.
The albino girl then proceeded to make a small ball of air in her hand, and then closed it to condense the ball of air further. It was a simple air bending technique known as an air marble. She then flicked it up into the air, it seemed to travel as fast as a bullet. Moments later, a small bird came falling to the earth. It appeared that the air marble had hit it's target, and with little effort at that. Meifeng actually let out a giggle, which was intensely unnatural for her to do normally. "As you can see, I'm still a novice. So if you're seeking training with your airbending, I suggest you seek elsewhere." She sounded cruel, but was trying her best to be polite with the girl. After her final sentence, Meifeng attempted to start walking away from the girl.

"Where Fears & Lies Melt Away" Although still uncertain of the girl's interior motives, the albino airbender withdrew her hand off the shaft; much to Mingyu's relief. A faded draft originated from the girl's palm as she teased the wind in order to send a small act of kindness towards the raven-haired girl. Lounging in its structure, the girl enthusiastically accepted the young woman's advances, allowing the breeze to nip through her manifestation and caress locks of profuse strands of silk. A soft and gentle giggle tumbled out of her lips, stimulating from her obvious enjoyment of her own element. Icicles of a winter's frost blundered out from the woman's mouth coaxing the young Airbender into a sudden halt. Bark sepia hues, propagated innocence and hints of fear while the woman's gleam held a bizarre glare of hatred, coping well with her frigid dialect.
"N-no one is built the same. I do not expect anything from you, just trying to be friendly." An uncomfortable feeling prompted upon her shoulder. The woman was of the Air Nomad tribe yet she did not attain the same tranquil nature that seemingly ridded itself off its emodiment. Something was off about this woman, something that Mingyu could not quite make out but with no physical evidence, she could not just base her suspicions on assumptions. "Your airbending is quite impressive. Your too modest! I am not seeking for a mentor though as I already have one. But thank you for even considering the idea." She bowed wholeheartedly. An unnatural giggle arose, sending a slight chill of uneasiness down the contours of the raven-haired spine. A lump divulged in her throat and no matter the amount of force she put into it, it would not decrease in size nor would it vanish into the pits of her stomach.
Falling into the earth was a small bird, lifeless as it hit the ground. Mingyu's mouth hung alatched, shocked to see what unfolded before her. She knelt over with her hands cupped and scooped up the defendless creature who now layed motionless. "You poor little bird. If only you knew not to fly in the way before it was too late." Tears settled into the corners of sepia eyes as she stared intently at the deceased creature. Mingyu softly whistled, her voice cracking as she did so. A miniscule gust of wind secured the bird tightly in its tunnel of air. Its brown feathers blew into sky, swirling as unit gracefully. The bird soon followed afterwards, being hoaxed into the air by the young Airbender who whispered a small prayer for its passing. When she was done, she stood up, wiping away at the droplets that had escaped. "Yo-you should be m-more careful. I know i-it was an accident but the poor b-birdy lost its life." She stammered.

Looking for nothing but troubles, a young man made his way through the busy streets of the fire nation capital. His crimson eyes scanned every shop, every corner, searching for a wanted poster, or someone who could offer him work. He had just arrived so the streets were foreign to him considering this was his first time visiting. Erebus had no idea where to go in order to find someone to hire him. He to be careful as well considering his trade was illegal in most places.
After nearly an hour of aimlessly wandering the streets of the fire nation capital, Erebus caught a glimpse of two women that seemed to be arguing. What caught his attention was that one of them had snow white hair, something extremely rare in the fire nation. A grin stretched across his face as he approached, spreading his arms as he did. "What seems to be the problem, ladies?"

"Where Fears & Lies Melt Away" Awkward, grieveous, and dolorous, the young Airbender felt no need to continue further. The air she often tamed was starting to thicken; suffocating her with its impalpable, corrupted aura that radiated off of the albino, white stranger. Rewinding every cynical moment coming about since the two encountered; nothing positive arose from it. Needless to say, Mingyu settled on a short and simple response before escorting herself off the premise. She would not want to dwandle into unnessecary scruffles, especially since she had no interest in starting something that could potentially end in a devastating finish. With a graceful bow and a polite smile following up, Mingyu excused herself from the pale woman and continued to explore the rest of the nation for all its worth.
