If you had to describe Meifeng Qi with one word, it would be "cruel". She is heartless and murderous, and definitely does not share the same beliefs as the normally peaceful Air Nomads. She is a sadist and enjoys causing pain and despair to others. Meifeng has sworn her intelligence to the Fire Nation and acts as an intelligence agent/assassin for them. In return, she gets paid quite a large amount of money.

Meifeng is stoic and desensitized in nature, she shows almost no emotion whatsoever, which makes her appear like a lifeless doll. The only thing that causes her to crack a smile or a small laugh is when she is causing somebody else pain. The Fire Nation views her as valuable because she's an air bender which causes her to have a slight "holier than thou" air to her. Meifeng is skilled in acrobatics.

Appearance:

Meifeng is an albino, which means her skin is almost white and she spends very little time in the sun. The reason for spending so little time in the sun is because she burns very easily, and very badly. Her hair is a very light blonde color, but it's so light that it appears to be white in color. Her retinas are light pink, and her eyes themselves are very glossy and seem to glare into your soul.

She dresses quite over the top. The style that she dresses in is known as "Gothic Lolita", which usually involves a lot of black and frills. Personally, Meifeng prefers to wear a lot of black and white. She is also usually seen wearing the symbol of the upside down cross on her outfits.

History:

Meifeng grew up in a small group of Air Nomads and was fed the peace loving beliefs that bending should only be used to better and improve one's life, not cause war and destruction. She ate most of this like candy when she was a young child, much like any other normal Air Nomad child. So where did she go wrong?

It all happened when a mysterious old man from the Fire Nation was brought into the tribe of nomads after being found dying in the wilderness from starvation. The old man's name is unknown, but Meifeng swears that he called himself "Alastor". This old man seemed mild mannered and peaceful, and the tribe of nomads gained great respect for him, despite being an outsider. He used his fire bending to help out the group in return for saving his life.

This old man was not what he seemed, however. One night, he suddenly left and took a young girl and a young boy with him, why exactly he did this is unknown. It's assumed he wanted to learn how Air Nomads were born natural benders so he could better the Fire Nation with this knowledge. The three went on a long journey around the Earth kingdom before returning to the Fire Nation. The old fire bender, a young male airbender, and finally, Meifeng Qi. The two airbenders were but five years old at the time, so they didn't know any better.

The old man fed them lies about the other countries, showed them murder, destruction, and war, and countless other things that would ultimately desensitize them. The young boy couldn't handle these atrocities, so he ran away at the age of 9. Meifeng, however, grew to like the old man and stuck around him, learning his corrupted ways. Her final test before returning to the Fire Nation was to kill an innocent civilian, which would lock her emotions and feelings away.

She did it. It was a young man about the age of twenty, while she was only fifteen. It wasn't the first time she had seen blood, but it was the first time she had received excitement from it. It was at this moment that she learned that she loved to cause pain to other people. Before the Earth Kingdom could investigate this crime fully, Meifeng left with the old man to his home country. The Fire Nation.

Apparently, this old firebender had some friends in some high places, and therefore was able to show Meifeng to the King himself. At first, his highness was disgusted with how she acted, but then became interested. He handed the old man a large sack of coins and Meifeng never saw him again. The King personally asked if she would like to work as an intelligence agent and assassin for the Fire Nation. The deal was that she would receive a large amount of pay, but had to swear her allegiance to the nation for the rest of her life. She accepted the offer almost without hesitation and swore an oath to the king and the Fire Nation.

But this is only the beginning of Meifeng's story....
