So I just joined the site and I just have a tiny suggestion. You don't have to listen to me, but this is just something I feel would help to gain and retain members. I have had experience with starting sites before and just wanted to offer something that I learned from my experience.
The one thread per character rule is going to be detrimental in the long run. I know that it helps to keep one person from overflowing the roleplay boards, it keeps the order in which things happen very clear, but it will also cause some members to lose interest in the site quickly. I know from experience that liquid time (that is, being able to have your characters in more than one thread but knowing the order in which things happen) is much more effective. If you only have one character to start off with and you have them in just one thread and say no one joins that thread you start, you will become bored very quickly. So then you try to join another thread after ending the thread you started and perhaps the people in that thread are just slow to reply. After a few days of coming on every day to check if those threads have been answered, you start to come on less often and eventually drift away altogether. Unfortunately, it happens. I just suggest liquid time with maybe a three to five thread limit as you are more likely to attract active members and keep them as well.
This is just a suggestion, I don't mean to offend anyone on my very first post on this forum, I just thought you might like to hear an opinion.
