SooYeon is a rather cold person to be around. If she can help it, she won't talk to anyone and likes to be alone. If by any chances she talks to anything, it could be a sign that she is warming up to you. Although she is cold to people, she spends most of her time in her own little world. She enjoys being alone, cause she always fears dependency. SooYeon has the tendency to space out whenever someone talks to her, and might have a slow reaction at times. When someone gets close to Sooyeon, they can see that she has a good sense of humor and an out going person. Unfortunately, not many knows that side of her.

Sooyeon likes to believe that there is good in everyone, and tries to see the brighter things in life, ironically. She tries to believe that nothing is impossible and there's a way out of everything. Although she seems like she's cold to her peers, to her elders she shows the utmost respect. She was never to one to talk back to anyone older then her, no matter if she opposes them or not. She has an adventurous side, and loves to travel more then anything. However, she has never been outside of the Earth Kingdom. Every year as she grows older, she constantly wonder what lies outside the Earth Kingdom, and yearns to travel to all the nations.

Appearance:

Instead of wearing a traditional green or pale yellow color of the Earth Kingdom, SooYeon loves to wear pink. Most of her outfit in her room is pink. She typically has on a pink Cheongsam with yellow outlining its sleeves and edges. The Cheongsam is a traditional chinese outfit with short sleeves, and stretches down pass her knees. SooYeon also wear brown sandals. On specially occasions, Sooyeon wears a Cheongsam that has the traditional earth kingdom colors on them. She has long brown hair, that reaches toward her mid-back. Her bangs covers her forehead, and almost covers her eyes, which results to her having to brush it aside from time to time.

Sooyeon's eyes are light brown, which she sometimes claims she dislikes, and others describes to be so emotionless that it sends chill through their body. She has a v-line shaped faced, and often wears little to no make up on. Sooyeon also has naturally pale skin, even though she spends a lot of time outside. She could be described as small because of her height also. Whenever she is around traveling, SooYeon wears a straw hat, to keep herself cooled off, and also to hide her face sometimes. The girl is rather toned, since she practices her bending, and enjoys sparing.

History:

SooYeon was born in a small village inside the earth kingdom. The nearest city to her village is Omashu about a week's journey on foot from where she lives. Born in the little town where everyone knows each other, she grew up knowing everyone, but overall became tired of her daily life. SooYeon knew everything about the place, and soon yearned to leave the place, however, her parents did not want her to leave, believing she is not old enough. The village was actually home to non earth benders, but normal citizens who wanted peace, and blocked themselves out as much as they can from the news of war.

At the age of eleven, SooYeon discovered she had earth bending abilities. Since there was no one in her village to teach her, her parents took her to Omashu to let her train in an Earth Bending Academy. During her years training as an earth bender, SooYeon was quiet shy from being new to the big city, and couldn't bring herself to talk to many people. Soon that isolation became peaceful to her, and she purposefully distance herself away from everyone. After a few years of training in the Earth Bending Academy in Omashu, SooYeon grew wary of the city, and want to travel more. She also gained new knowledge, of things that her small village never knew, such as the up coming war. As soon as SooYeon turned sixteen, she left Omashu, and went on a journey herself to where ever she wanted.
