General Rules

Welcome members to Avatar: New Beginnings! Alright, cutting straight to the point. We got rules here. If you don't follow them,, we will feed you to the turtles Max has been raising. Alright, here they are.



#1) Respect others: Play nice with the others. If you have a problem with someone in character, then keep it in character. The rest of us don't need to hear arguments. If you have a problem with a member, tell a staff member and we will handle it. This also means no baiting, fishing flaming. Above all, just respect each other.


#2) the no-no's: No pornography. (Self explanitory. Results in permanent ban) No plagiarism.(This will result in a temporary ban.)


#3) Advertising: We have a special area designated for advertising. Please only post there. (LINK HERE)


#4) Roleplaying: The basics. The minimum is a well thought out paragraph consisting of 5 sentences. We encourage above and beyond, but we all have those days where we can't manage a great post. Note: Along with this there is a limit of how many threads a character may be in. On this site, we go by the system of liquid time. Liquid time allows you to be in multiple threads at once. The only catch is that you must keep up with each of the threads.

#5) Godmodding, Metagaming, powerplaying: These acts are prohibited. We don't want anyone playing anyone's character without permission. This means absolutely NO BLOOD BENDING

[/u]. This is a perfect example of god modding. We also don't want auto hits and killing. (Killing can happen with permission from the player however.)


#6) Waiting: Yes, we have all been there. Waiting for someone to post can be. If you are in one of these situations, you are able to skip said person with permission from the person or if they have not posted in 3 days.


#7) Bumping: Bumping is posting in a thread to make it got to the top of the list. Please. don't do it. We know you are anxious, but there are other members and factors that need tending to. You may ask a staff member for approvals, rewards, etc, but to an extent. Please do not overdo it. It gets annoying.


#8) Royal Characters/Orphans: If you want to make a character that is a prince/princess of the fire nation or whatever nation you are from, you must make a profile that will impress a staff member (mainly Ror, Max, or Envy). However if your rping skills is not impressive, the position can be removed.

#9) Threads: Your character can only be in one thread at a time, if you want to be in another thread, then you must exit your current thread. The only exceptions are OOC events, mission, or the market.


#10) Weapons: No characters will be able to start with a weapon at all. You will have opportunities to buy weapons in the market and it'll be more fun working for a goal if no one starts with a weapon right? The only exception to this rule is for non-bending characters who are allowed access to a single weapon of their choice from the Market. This is to prevent non-bending characters being defenseless when starting out.


#11) Face Claims: Please make them realistic, I mean, they have to be anime or cartoon, but I mean normal humans from the avatar world, are normal humans.


#12) Market: The Market will be an ooc market, you will need to rp when you purchase an item, however you do not need to travel all the way to the fire nation just to buy something. Your character and show up there buy something and leave.


#13) Names and Surnames: From discussion this, we came to conclusion that Fire Nations has Japanese names, Earth Kingdom has Korean/Chinese nams, Water tribe has Inuit like names, and Air Nomads has a more Tibetan/Mongolian name.

#14) Dickbutt: He's approved for all audiences.
